UV EPROM/Wafer Erasing Systems Perfect for High-Volume Production Requirements

Westbury, New York -- Spectroline's® PC-9920A high-performance UV EPROM/Wafer erasing systems ensure the highest UV intensities, fastest erasing times and unmatched safety and reliability.

The PC-9920 is engineered to meet high-volume production requirements. It has an operating UV intensity that is up to 60% greater than competitors' systems. Its nominal 254 nm irradiance of 70,000 µW/cm2 over a 36 x 24 in (91.4 x 61 cm) erasing area ensures fast and complete erasure of programmed memory from every EPROM, chip or wafer -- in as little as 90 seconds.

The PC-9920A's extra wide and deep drawer, measuring 36.75 x 28 x 1.75 in (93.3 x 71.1 x 4.4 cm), provides for easy loading of wafers, PC boards, open-faced stocking tubes and metric cards. Heavy-duty slides allow the drawer to open fully for greater access to the loading area.

Adjustable tray inserts can be set to varying heights to ensure optimum UV exposure. The quick load/unload tray allows safe handling and ensures proper positioning and pre-loading of EPROMs, PC boards, metric cards and wafers. It accommodates an extra-large load capacity of 24 - 6 inch (150 mm) wafers.

The PC-9920A-LT system has all the innovative features of the PC-9920A with the addition of a light tower. The tower has red/yellow/green signals that indicate the mode status at every stage of operation.

Both systems utilize nine ultra-high intensity, ozone-free, low-pressure mercury vapor quartz grid lamp assemblies. Mounted on specular aluminum reflectors, the UV grid lamps produce up to four times the throughput of competitive systems.
