Roartis continues to grow, by offering innovative, high quality, customised micro-electronic assembly materials.

VIEWPOINT 2026: Jochen Schuermans, Founder & CEO, Roartis
Jochen Schuermans, Founder & CEO, Roartis
Known for specialisation in development of customized adhesive, micro-encapsulation, coating and sinter solutions for electronic assemblies, Roartis has again, in 2025, realized its best year ever.

We feel that differentiation in technology, especially when offering customisation, fast, can really add significant value to customers' applications, enabling them faster market to entry as well as higher performance end-products.

This has resulted in 2025, again, in double digit growth, and a further broadening of our portfolio. We've achieved a much stronger position in power electronic applications with our sinter solutions, as well as semiconductor grade underfill materials. A few examples, how focus, intense partnership with end-customers, and commitment to achieve, have helped us make huge steps ahead.

Although we still consider ourselves as a scale-up company, it's clear that the period from 2023 to 2025 have been years of establishing our position in the global market. We are a "stayer" 😉.

With 90% export, obviously our focus is not our home market, but rather the global leading OEM's and ODM's. For that, the challenge remains to find the right channel-partners.

As we depend for a large share of our business on export, obviously we monitor the geopolitical situation globally … tariffs, global instability in certain regions in the world, the EU/USD exchange rate which may have certain impacts, etc.
Luckily, despite these uncertainties, ROARTIS continues to gain market share, and develop strongly … and the pipeline of projects remains strong.

Actually, even for 2026, not started yet, we hope and have ambition to realize again a double digit growth. We remain optimistic!

And what about technology trends ... clearly you cannot ignore AI anymore ... on one side if offers opportunities for Roartis to develop materials, required for AI computing. We already have materials qualified for certain AI microprocessors ... so also there, we try to keep track on what’s going on and take our piece of the pie.

With regards AI usage in our business processes ... obviously also a trend to follow. AI brings multiple opportunities ... improved data processing, improved and quicker trend identifications, improved material developments, etc. After being 25 years in this industry now, I am still amazed how dynamic this industry remains. So overall, I’m still quite optimistic for the years to come!
