VIEWPOINT 2024: Robert Patti, President, NHanced Semiconductors Inc.
Supply chain issues, although less common, continue to cause sporadic manufacturing disruptions. To mitigate the issue and provide resilience, NHanced has found second sources for materials and increased inventory levels. Semiconductor market growth (CAGR) is predicted to exceed 50% — a stellar rate, due in large part to the Government's on-shoring push. NHanced actually sees progression even faster than this. We anticipate doubling our workforce each year for the next two to three years to address the expanding advanced packaging market. Hiring is not easy; qualified candidates are scarce. The US needs a bigger, better equipped workforce to support the industry. NHanced actively works with trade schools and with higher education to build this workforce. In 2024 our new prototype and pilot IC assembly services will enter the market; we will open a new fab, with two more in planning stages; and brilliant solutions like chiplets and 3D-ICs are finally entering the mainstream.
