Florian Schildein, CEO, Butter and Salt GmbH
How was business in 2022 and what do you expect for the industry in 2023?
The year 2022 was very successful for us, we not only grew our team but also gained many new clients, which was also reflected in our revenue. Digital marketing is becoming more and more important with our clients, so we expect this trend to continue next year.

Will you be launching new products or services in 2023?
We have some projects for 2023 that will be realised. Since all projects are still in the planning stage, we cannot reveal any details at this point. What we can reveal in any case is that we will participate in a trade fair as an exhibitor again in 2023 after a long time.

Have supply chain shortages caused problems for your company in 2022 and what have you done to reduce these issues in 2023?
For us as a marketing agency, the delivery problems with electronic components, but also with raw materials such as aluminium and steel, were hardly noticeable directly. Of course, we were aware of the delivery problems and bottlenecks through our clients and communicated them accordingly in part through marketing.

Are you able to hire enough qualified employees?
Our team continued to grow in 2022. We welcomed a total of three new employees to our Berlin office. We have gained expertise in the areas of graphic/design, web design and administration in order to meet the wishes and requirements of our clients.

Has your company travel returned to pre-pandemic levels or are you still limiting travel to customer sites or industry conferences in 2023?
Trade fair visits were back at pre-pandemic levels in 2022. Customer appointments have also increased again, but some of the appointments also take place digitally.
