VIEWPOINT 2022: Ben Mendoza, Vice President, Golden Altos

VIEWPOINT 2022: Ben Mendoza, Vice President, Golden Altos
As a contract manufacturer for the military and aerospace industries, Golden Altos was deemed an essential business, allowing us to remain open by following strict protocol. We are fortunate to offer our employees whose job requirement does not designate them to be in office, the ability to work from home.

Golden Altos has been diligent in sustaining and enforcing the CDC, State and Santa Clara County guidelines/mandates. Our top priority is ensuring that our work environment is safe and place our employee’s health above all else.

COVID-19 directly affected many facets of the business world. Vice President Ben Mendoza had this to say about how inventory was affected, "Lead times underwent an impact as we saw raw package materials increase from 16 weeks to 30+ weeks."

We are pleased to say that we offer full training for assembly positions. However, there has been a noticeable decrease in the number of applications we have received since the pandemic started.

We anticipate facing the same struggles as we have over the course of the past two years. However, we feel optimistic and well prepared to endure and overcome any obstacles that come our way.

In person events has been a tentative notion this past year as we attended our first show in October since the pandemic. Our team is ready to get back on the show floor and plan to attend in person events/industry conferences for this 2022 season.
