VIEWPOINT 2021: Ludo Vandenberk, Executive Vice President, Trymax Semiconductor Equipment BV
Until now the COVID-19 had had a limited impact on Trymax's manufacturing capability. Also from a customer point of view, we have not seen a reduction in the demand for our systems this year with a strong growth in business for the 200mm platforms due to the business increase from the RF-filter, compound semiconductor and the power semiconductor market. But we're definitely not ignoring the impact on our industry which has turned into a global crisis, evolving at unprecedented speed and scale. It is creating an universal imperative for organization to take immediate action to protect their employees. It's now the biggest global crisis and challenge of our lifetimes. For 2021 we still recognize a strong company growth based on our current forecast and order intake but we have to stay cautious since no industry is immune to the impact of COVID-19, including the semiconductor industry.
