Marvin Test Solutions is looking forward to 2018 as a year of growth for our entire semiconductor test product line - a range of flexible, scalable solutions to address wafer and packaged test applications in both engineering and production environments.

2017 was a year of solid growth for the semiconductor industry both in volume and sales. But this growth is also challenging the industry to explore how to lower their cost of test and better utilize their existing resources in order to address new and complex test requirements that may incorporate MEMs, digital and RF technologies.

In-house designed "Rack & Stack" systems, legacy test systems, and expensive large-scale ATE solutions do not always provide the flexibility, functionality, and value to accommodate new and evolving test challenges associated with the development and production of today's semiconductor devices.

At MTS, we are continuing to invest in our open architecture, PXI-based test solutions which include our TS-900 family of testers which offer a cost-effective, compact footprint with "big-iron" capabilities for digital and mix-signal applications.

In addition, in 2017, we introduced the MTEK (Marvin Test Expansion Kit) Series which extends the life of legacy semiconductor test systems with an easy-to-integrate, add-on solution that provides the resources needed to test today's semiconductor devices, including advanced digital, analog or RF test capabilities.

With the MTEK, more advanced products can be tested on an already-depreciated ATE asset, providing test engineers with a cost effective test solution for addressing next generation devices without requiring the large investment in a new test platform.

With the open architecture of our PXI-based solutions, I believe we are well positioned for 2018 and beyond. And with the on-going expected growth of the industry in 2018, we anticipate an increasing demand for test solutions that can provide value and flexibility for OEMs, OSATs, and IDMs.
