Huawei a formidable AI rival, Nvidia's CEO says
Huawei Technologies, along with Intel and several emerging semiconductor startups, presents significant competition to Nvidia Corp in the artificial intelligence (AI) chip race, according to Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang. The Shenzhen-based Huawei has become a major player in China's chip technology and AI accelerator market. Despite challenges related to US-China trade regulations, Nvidia aims to deliver new products in compliance with Washington's rules. During his visit to Singapore, Huang discussed the global AI race and met with Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Nvidia continues to serve Chinese customers in Singapore, with sales to the city-state accounting for about 15% of its revenue in recent months.
