Rochester offers a range of Semiconductor Manufacturing options from Individual Services through to full Turnkey Solutions
Avoiding Redesign with Form, Fit and Functional Replacement
When Original Component Manufacturers (OCMs) announce a product's end of life this can present major challenges for their customers. This is particularly the case when components are used in applications that have long life cycles and/or have integrated software.
When NXP announced the end-of-life (EOL) for its P80C592 microcontroller, ThyssenKrupp needed to ensure the continuation of supply for its passenger and freight elevators and turned to Rochester Electronics. Learn how both companies, working together, were able to replicate, test, and qualify the component in less than 12 months and ensure continued production.
