As proven in the past two years, adapting to a new way of doing business is now the norm; and the norm is now everchanging. Developing relationships and networking have become ever more important in our new and different reality. New skills have been learned and adopted for communicating in-person and virtually.

Add to this the critical importance of the voice of the customer — including feedback on customer service — which can only be heard by those who make it a priority to reach out and listen to the end user. Those companies who managed to persevere and fine tune these necessities are stronger today.

Dealing with change and growth doesn't always go hand in hand, but in 2021 it was the case for Yxlon, a company of the Comet Group. Yxlon did persevere, working diligently to redirect itself into new paths; some forged due to Covid-19 and some on the forecast pre-pandemic. We have made many changes in the past 2 years to streamline, refining our production processes and product offerings based on customer input and industry trends.

We have diligently worked to stay ahead of the issues faced by others in the industry dealing with part shortages and shipping delays, managing toward better results accomplished by planning for the future and making certain we focus on a positive customer experience.

Our Sales team was out on the road periodically in 2021 and is anticipating a full comeback in 2022. A top priority for this year is visiting our existing customer base, as well as engaging with new potential opportunities. Our customer relationships are front and center because they are truly what our company values are based on.

In 2021, new products were introduced, and new companies joined the Comet Group; companies that enhance our offering and move our technology forward.

We are looking forward to branching out into new applications for 2D, Computed Tomography, and Laminography, particularly regarding electronics in electric vehicles including batteries and sensors. Workflows have been developed specifically to enhance user experience, expand options, and guarantee results. In late 2021, we began offering our VoidInspect workflow on our Cheetah EVO and Cougar EVO systems powered by ORS, a new addition to the Comet Group. Trade show participation remains a priority to educate and interact with potential new customers showing the possibilities industrial x-ray and computed tomography (CT) can offer, and to embrace the relationships we have built over the years. We hope to see some of you at IPC APEX, SEMICON West and many local SMTA EXPO and Tech Forums in 2022.

With more new products scheduled for release in 2022, we look forward to the coming year and all that it brings. We hope you do to!
