As Winston Churchill once said: "Never let a good crisis go to waste." We might not be at the point where we are ready to reflect on the effects of the pandemic on our semiconductor and microelectronic industry since it is still quite affected by the shortages it’s been experiencing. However, we have learned a few very important things over the past two years; great ideas continue to emerge even during the most difficult times and relying on each other is the strongest foundation needed to bounce back when facing adversity.

Our semiconductor and microelectronic industry is still vulnerable due to the pandemic's effects and probably will remain for the next couple of years while growth and opportunities continue to arise. But to beat the odds, strengthening its foundation by developing a strong ecosystem is one great way to alleviate some of the risks.

C2MI is a successful 10-year-old living example of risk reduction ecosystem evolving in the fields of MEMS manufacturing, semiconductor packaging and assembly and will continue to effectively maintain its ecosystem focus for the years ahead! From fundamental development made in collaboration with several universities to accelerated commercialization phase in our R&D centre to high volume production at key industrial partner’s facilities, we can support corporations through technology development cycle and bring to life scientists’ new technologies and ideas.

We are continuously investing in our state-of-the-art facility, despite the fact that equipment are difficult to get. Our close links with universities helps us build a unique highly skilled team that is ready to tackle any new challenges and be part of the renewed semiconductor supply chain that is being configured in North America nowadays.

We look to 2022 with a sense of gratitude for the people behind the amazing accomplishments and we acknowledge their resilience and optimism for the North American collaboration that lies ahead.
