VIEWPOINT 2021: Jeff White, President, EMD Performance Materials
Our performance in the months of October and November within our Performance Materials segment has been very strong, with our year-on-year performance also solid. Overall, the organization takes a long-range approach to business investment. EMD Performance Materials, a business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, was already well-positioned for adapting to the digital transformation that we are seeing as a result of the pandemic. The integration of several key acquisitions, most recently including Versum Materials and Intermolecular, have contributed to the continued success of the organization throughout the pandemic. We see continued investment into the entire electronics materials business and anticipate continued growth and expansion in 2021 and beyond as we continue to navigate this new virtual world.
