First, we would like to thank our customers, employees, and business partners for mastering the serious change together with us.

In 1Q20 the coronavirus deadlocked the whole world and showed us once again how essential the promotion of digitalization is.

Without proper digitalization an appropriate communication as well as a successful business would hardly have been possible last year. Moving into 2021 we expect to see a continued high sale of devices that connect people with one another despite a distance such as notebooks, tablets, and cellphones. I also expect the markets of data storage and cloud computing to grow.

Since the key markets in the semiconductor industry who we mainly serve were mostly spared the consequences of the virus we were also not seriously affected. However, we were challenged by the changeover to home office, globally canceled trade fairs, and limited face-to-face customer meetings. Not to forget the guarantee of protective measures in the workplace.

We assume that Covid-19 will remain the dominant issue in the economy and the health sector if there arenĀ“t sufficient vaccination doses for the general public and no advanced vaccination plans, even for a possible mutated version. That is why we will continue to focus internally on virtual trainings and digital communication with everyone involved in our business. Externally we will provide our customers solutions for corona related changes.

We hope that not only the multinational companies survive in the market but that smaller companies will also remain competitive due digital upgrade.
