The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic has introduced some delays in Jenoptik's varied global markets. However, business remained robust within one of our largest markets - semiconductor equipment. We are confident in continued growth for 2021 - both in the overall semiconductor industry we serve, as well as in our own growth within that market.

As a leading partner worldwide for high precision semiconductor wafer level optical and micro-optical systems, Jenoptik's investment in an advanced electron-beam (E-Beam) lithography tool enhances the development and production of the most sophisticated next-generation precision sensors for DUV and EUV wafer exposure.

At the chip level, Jenoptik offers a novel optical solution for integration into electrical test cards, enabling the semiconductor equipment industry including test providers and users. The ultra-fast and customizable opto-electronic probe card or UFO Probe™ Card functionally tests semiconductor chips with integrated optical functions and photonic integrated circuits (PICs).

For imaging sensor systems, Jenoptik's TRIOPTICS strategic business unit also provides automated solutions for image quality and active optical alignment for the Semiconductor, Biophotonics and Industrial markets.

We expect the demand in the semiconductor industry to remain strong and grow in 2021 and the demand for our products and services to remain high.
