The global pandemic Covid-19 has devastated the social and economic systems of almost every country and many industries.

MRSI, Mycronic Group, was fortunate to be designated as an essential business due to its involvement with the communications infrastructure, defense, and medical devices industries enabling us to keep business open and continue shipping systems to customers, including those supplying into the communications industry. This was one of the few market sectors that experienced increasing demand, in part due to remote working.

We immediately initiated strict Covid-19 protocols, at our new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and HQ outside of Boston to ensure the safety of our employees and customers according to government guidelines.

2021 promises to be an exciting year of growth despite the lingering pandemic with product extensions roll-outs of various "speed" lines - all based on our successful H/HVM platforms. We also launched a new submicron die bonder enabling us to enter selected new applications including silicon photonics and wafer-level packaging.

Overall, we are optimistic that 2021 will be a growth year for the Semiconductor Industry driven in large part by the continuing need for communications components, hardware, and infrastructure as society adjusts to new patterns of work and online communications.
