VIEWPOINT 2021: Chris Henderson, President, Semitracks, Inc.
At the beginning of 2020, approximately 75% of our business was face-to-face training. By the end of 2020, 100% of our training was online, either via webinars or asynchronous web-based training. We do not foresee an immediate shift back to face-to-face training. In fact, many of our customers are now committed to a future where training occurs virtually. Semitracks was already well positioned for online training, as we have an extensive content library available through our Learning Management Systems. With that said, online training has to get better in order to provide the same impact that face-to-face training does. The good news is that online training development tools are improving, and we expect to see an acceleration of this in the coming years, with better virtual reality and augmented reality training aids becoming available. Semitracks is actively adding to its content library and working with our customers to improve the learning experience in this new, online world.
