2014 IPC Electronic System Technologies Conference



Join the Titans of the Industry at 2014 Electronic System Technologies Conference and Exhibition.

Based on a spectacular inaugural event in May 2013, the Electronic System Technologies Conference and Exhibition is seeking abstracts, course proposals and exhibitors for the 2014 event which will take place again at the New Tropicana on May 20-22, 2014.

Organized by IPC, and supported by other organizations such as the ECIA, The event pioneers value through reasonable conference registration and hotel accommodation rates, free wi-fi, objective and non-affiliated programs and outstanding keynote speakers, which ultimately serve to offer a " Journey into the Future with the Titans of the Industry". "The event targets bringing the entire industry together, and strives to be the venue where supply and demand meet in the electronics industry" say Senol Pekin, PhD, MBA, General Chair of the event and Sanjay Huprikar, IPC VP, Member Success. The conference is structured around 13 tracks which can be seen in its website.

The inaugural event was held on May 20-22, 2013 at The New Tropicana in Las Vegas. Upon registration, attendees received a motherboard green conference polo shirt sponsored by Mentor Graphics.

In addition to thirteen conference sessions, sponsored workshops were free for conference attendees and included "DDR3 Interface Design Workshop" sponsored by Cadence, "Design for Reliability (DfR)" sponsored by Ops A La Carte, and "Simulation Driven Product Design: Leveraging 3D Multiphysics Analysis" sponsored by Ansys. "Advanced Packaging" professional development course was taught by Dr Ravi Mahajan of Intel Corp. The expo was open to attendees on Tuesday and Wednesday. Coalition for Advancement of MicroElectronic Systems Technology (CAMEST), IPC-A-630 Requirements for Structural Enclosure Task Group and Wire Harness Acceptability Task Group also met at the inaugural event.

One of the highlights of the inaugural event was the outstanding array of keynote speakers covering the entire electronics industry. Dr Tin-Lip Wong of Lenovo, Derrill Wolkins of Medtronic, Dr. Zane Ball of Intel Corp, Dr. An-Yu Kuo of Cadence Design Systems, Raj Master of Microsof, Dr. Raj Pendse of STATS ChipPAC, Dr. Choon Lee of Amkor Technology and James Quinn of Multitest Elektronische Systeme GmbH delivered keynote speeches throughout the conference.

Intel Corp demonstrated some of the latest touchscreen desktops (AAIOs). Attendees had an opportunity to socialize at General Chair's Welcome Reception sponsored by Rambus and Reception on the Show Floor. Final day of the conference was not slow as many attendees attended the PCB Workshop given by Robert McDonough Sr. of Vitesse Semiconductor; and Jim Vanden Hogen and Don Schneider of Plexus Corp.
