Semiconductor Market Smoking Hot in March, according to VLSIresearch
VLSIresearch reported that the last week of March IC Sales were 23% over the same week in 2016 in a recent edition of its weekly Semiconductor Analytics (https://www.vlsiresearch.com/public/sa/) report.

The total for 13-week calendar quarter showed a 12% rise of 1Q16. VLSI's IC Weather Report recorded booking conditions that were hot overall -- Humid in Memory -- Hot for Foundries, IDMs, and SoC -- With IoT warm. It raised its IC price pressure level to Uplifting.

Overall IC Supply & Demand: remains in Shortage, with shortages seen in DRAM, NAND, Foundry, and IDMs. VLSI's second quarter Supply/Demand Forecast is for continuing Shortages with possible easing to tight conditions by the third quarter.
