The San Diego Joint Chapters of IMAPS, IEEE/CPMT, and ACerS will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, March 23^rd beginning at 5:30. Mr. Ping Huang of ECRI Microelectronics (ECRIM) will address high speed optical module research and development with an emphasis on sealing and brazing of stainless steel and AuSn soldering for high speed package components.

ECRIM manufactures and supplies optical module packages to many leading optical packaging companies supporting optical communications and networks. Their products and services are used in more than 20 countries including the USA and EU.

The meeting will be held at La Fiesta Restaurant (http://www.lafiestasd.com/) in San Diego’s Gas Lamp District at 628 5^th Avenue. La Fiesta has no dedicated parking spaces. Dinner will be served at 6:30 and presentation will follow.

The cost is $20for IMAPS, IEEE/CPMT, ACerSmembers who reserve in advance. The fee for non-members is $25.
