Atlanta - ASYS Solar just released several new solutions for the metallization of silicone solar cells and will now also release them to the US market.

Among those highlights is a high speed upgrade. Depending on the line configuration existing ASYS users can increase the throughput of their existing metallization lines by up to 33% without adding additional line length.

Secondly ASYS will release its microcrack inspection, which can be integrated in any line configuration.

To accommodate selective emitter applications ASYS has developed two new screen printers, the XS2 and the XSR1. The XS2 is based on the proven XS1 and features a repeatability of +/- 12.5 micron at 6 sigma and is used for line configurations of 1,640 wph and 3,280 wph in dual lane respectively. The XSR1 is a rotary table printer that is primarily targeting metal wrap through, selective emitter and ultra thin wafer applications.
