(SAN DIEGO, CA) -- Torrey Hills Technologies, LLC today announced that Ken Kuang, its president and CEO, was named 2008 Most Admired CEO among private-held small businesses by San Diego Business Journal. Kuang was honored with this award at a November 18 award ceremony held at the San Diego Marriott Hotel and Marina. More than 150 nominees, finalists and honorees including the Honorable Mayor Jerry Sanders, the lifetime achievement honoree Connect CEO Duane Roth, San Diego Convention Center CEO Carol Wallace, and Qualcomm CEO Dr. Paul Jacobs attended the ceremony.

Under Kuang’s direction, Torrey Hills’ revenue has doubled almost every year since its establishment in 2004, bringing it to a prominent position as a manufacturer and distributor of microelectronics equipment and packaging components. The company was ranked 5th among the 2008 fastest growing 100 privately held companies in San Diego county by San Diego Business Journal in September this year. Kuang has used his technical abilities to help his company develop new manufacturing processes to improve the quality of products, while reducing costs. By learning from other success stories on the business and marketing side of companies, Kuang has tailored them to formulate strategies for his company’s needs. He is innovative in the way he supports his customers to remain competitive and to grow, and in the way he finds new customers.
