VIEWPOINT 2022: Casey Krawiec, VP of Global Sales, StratEdge Corporation
It was also extremely difficult to find quality people to hire. However, we finished very strong in the latter half of the year and expect to have robust growth for our semiconductor packages and packaging assembly services. Despite some lingering effects of COVID-19, we anticipate that 2022 will be a record year for the semiconductor and microelectronics industries. We continue to see GaN devices incorporated into new designs that we support with our long list of open-tooled packages that demonstrate proven performance at high frequencies. The millimeter-wave spectrum bands for 5G services and satellite communication are two additional areas where we see growth. Customers are slowly opening their doors to visits, but many meetings continue to be offsite, either because the company doesn't want visitors on their premises, or our key contacts are still working remotely. We have a lot more lunch meetings and meetings at coffee shops than before the pandemic and expect this to continue. We are looking forward to attending industry conferences in person and expect to be back to our normal number in 2022.
