Before looking at 2019, it is important to take a step back and analyze how 2018 went. Both the global IC market and equipment kept on growing and for Trymax, it was the best year ever in sales. We confirmed our strong position in the European market in resist stripping in both 200 and 300mm wafer sizes in power semi, automotive, and sensors.

We expanded our business in Asia in wafer bumping and wafer level packaging descum/cleaning. From these successes, we got positive financial figures that came timely to celebrate the anniversary of the company that turned 15 in October. As good news does not come alone, the company was awarded one of the fastest growing companies in the Netherlands by the Dutch financial institution FD Gazellen.

Now looking at 2019 from our perspective, the outlook is positive in the markets we are serving.

- Europe region has new fabs being built or equipped by leading IDMs, including several 300mm facilities. Such dynamic activities were not seen for a very long time.
- We expect to expand our activities in Asia at OSATs based on the new businesses we won in 2018 and based on the growth forecasted in advanced packaging.
- Regarding US region, we have some good traction with a well-organized structure in place to support the significant business opportunities we identified.

Applications wise, verticals where Trymax is involved such as power semi, automotive, MEMS sensors/actuators are all forecasted to keep on growing. 5G deployment is taking more time than initially expected but plans seem only to be slightly delayed. Still, the China/US situation brings some uncertainties on the market and limited visibility but bring as well some opportunities for a European company such as Trymax at both US and Chinese customers.

Last but not the least, Trymax will launch a new product line in 2019. We will have state of the art equipment solutions to replace legacy tools that are not almost impossible to source. We will disclose more details later during the year. Stay tuned!
