VIEWPOINT 2017: Tony NG, Key Account Manager, AMETEK Programmable PowerWe see a continued need for tools that pack high power levels in smaller packages. Products that increase power density will be key, without sacrificing modularity and scalability. Semi engineers will rely upon AMETEK power sources such as the Sorensen ASD FLX that provides flexible voltage levels in a front-panel serviceable water-cooled system. In addition to scaling up wafer sizes and component densities, the pressure remains on semiconductor manufacturers to find ways to increase yields. This in turn is driving demand for larger and more productive process and test equipment, such as scalable programmable DC power sources and AC power supplies.
