We see 2015 shaping up to be another strong growth year for the semiconductor industry. For those of us in the test segment of the market, it means we will need to continue to add even more expert engineering capability and even more sophisticated test equipment to address the ever more complex devices today's fabrication and packaging technologies enable.

One of the unavoidable test industry side effects of this relentless increase in device technology is that only companies that are technologically strong and financially sound will be able to survive.

We have already seen consolidation beginning in the small test lab market in the US over the last year or so and we expect that trend to continue. Even the large assembly and test companies are seeing some consolidation with STATS ChipPac likely to be acquired by a group of Chinese investors.

Continuing the trend we noted last year, the Military/Aerospace/Space semiconductor market continues to consume increasingly complex semiconductor devices. While this market is relatively small, the significantly harsher environments that many devices are required to operate in demand even more comprehensive test solutions that the commercial market -- further emphasizing the need for expert test engineers and sophisticated test equipment.
